Alan Fearnley was born in Yorkshire in 1942 and studied at Batley College of Art. Initially his paintings included railway architecture, but then he moved away from typographical and landscape compositions towards transport oriented mechanical subjects, especially motor racing – motor sport being one of his loves.
His oil on canvas paintings reflect his understanding of the world of motor racing. His work can be seen in the offices of Eddie Stobart Ltd, Rolls Royce, Porsche and Mercedes Benz, and his paintings feature in private collections throughout the world.
